Boxed-In | GMTK 2025 Submission
A downloadable game for Windows
About The Game
In a world ran by mysterious higher-ups, humble robots rusted and weathered must slave away day and night. This monotonous work involves sorting boxes, in a seemingly endless loop. If only there was a way to break the loop and escape forever...
Boxed-In is a top-down 2D puzzle game developed in Unreal Engine 5.4. This game was developed for the GMTK game jam 2025, requiring us to base the core concept around the theme of loop.

How To Play
The gameplay loop is simple, interact with the boxes moving on the conveyor belt to pick them up, moving them over to the correct sorting location lined along the top wall. A simple interaction in this area will place the box down again, sending it off.
The boxes stacked next to these drop off locations showcase the correct box type for that location. Pay special attention to this as you will receive a penalty for each box placed wrong.
Your primary goal for this game is to escape the work loop. This can be done by using a special object hidden in the area you are confined to.
